The C2-01 is a lightweight & compactly designed 3G phone which comes with an assortment of features to assist its user with communication on the move. The Nokia C2-01 is a low budget handset which will appeal to many users on cost alone. Although it may not cost too much it certainly doesn't lack any of the essential features needed by today's mobile phone users. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera, video recording facility, social network integration, Web browser, 3G connectivity & many messaging services to choose from. The Nokia C2-01 has a bar form casing & due to its light weight design this handset will not weigh its user down when carrying.
Appearance & Size
The C2-01 comes in two colour options which include a warm silver coloured casing & a sleek black coloured casing. There is a two inch screen which provides a colour display & the user can enjoy a simplistic screen interface with clearly labelled feature options. The front section of the handset has a screen towards the top section & on the lower section is a well spaced alphanumeric keypad. It comes with user friendly keys which include a Navi™ key, selection keys, call & end keys. The Nokia C2-01 weights eighty nine grams which is incredibly lightweight for a mobile phone handset & it measures 10.96cm tall, 4.69cm wide by 1.46cm deep.
Imaging, Media & Entertainment
Games can be enjoyed on this handset as it comes with a huge selection of preloaded games which include Snake III, Bounce, Sudoku, Brain Champion, Block'd, Diamond Rush & City Bloxx games. Imaging features include a built in camera which has a 3.2 megapixel lens which support both video record & still photo capturing. The camera comes with a full focus, 4 x digital zoom & variety of capturing options which include colour tone setting, white balance & a self timer for capturing self portraits. Music entertainment can be gained using the built in FM radio complete with radio data system or the music player.
Communication & Messaging
The phone comes with social network integration allowing the user to access their favourite social network Websites to stay in contact with friends. The C2-01 comes with all the messaging services a user could need on the go, including instant messaging with Ovi chat support, text messaging, multimedia messaging & email. Call features on this compact mobile phone include a speaker phone call feature allowing the user to take a call over the loud speakers & a call log which stores a list of calls missed, dialled & received on the handset.
Technology & Internet
3G HSDPA technology allows the user to experience fast connectivity when required, for example when the user is surfing the Web or sending a MMS picture message. The Nokia C2-01 works over quad band GSM networks & 3G HSDPA networks, so therefore the handset will switch between network bands depending on the users network needs. A fully charged battery will provide an estimated four & half hours of 3G talk time or approximately 450 hours of standby time. The C2-01 comes with an expandable memory card slot & there is forty six megabytes of internal memory. Connectivity to other devices can be gained via a micro USB connection or by using a Bluetooth wireless connection between compatible devices. The integrated Internet browser supports XHTML & HTML browsing & the user can use a user friendly Opera Mini browser whilst searching for their preferred websites.
