Symbian signing is no longer possible

If you have a phone with Symbian OS open probably heard about signing your applications to install, or ask your certificates in a Chinese website ... well, that it was an old method to install unsigned applications with this method only needed to go to a page and request that you create your certificate specific to the IMEI of your phone, which as you know is unique number that identifies global mobile au, so the only files you served your mobile.

After you have these files at your fingertips, you should only use an application on your computer to digitally sign the symbian application you would like and ready and could install it on your phone without any problem.

Symbian signing is no longer possible

The bad news is that the old method no longer works, as the company responsible for generating the certificates SimbianSigned has decided that all certificates generated after June 23, 2011 can only sign applications which are within the range of UIDs not protected. In other palabas no longer serve to sign applications available in the store Ovi, or those developed by other large companies, only applications created by ourselves. A very bad decision that makes it even more closed the Symbian platform and could generate a decline in the development of new applications.

It should be noted that if you are of those who have your own certificates from before June 23 then this measure should concern you since your certificate has all the capabilities so keep them well if you ever need them.

But this also puts an end to the popular program that allowed similar HelloOX and hack your phone quickly, completely ending the history of this old method of "sign" that worked from there Symbian. Now the custom firmware (CFW) are the only possibility to install on your mobile phone as you like without problems.

Please Note: We have Some .Cer & .Key Database which is Signed Before 23 June 2011.

Soon we will Update the list of IMEI and Name registered to.
