Is it necessary to format the drive before flashing it?

If you are not was on CFW before, then no need, but my suggestion just backup your Images, Attachments, Sound and personal folder rest dont take like sys, resources, private .

I was just asking through few reviews about the new update, some people is having problem about the k/b missing for messages, is that true, if such error happens, what are my options?

I personally tested on Nokia X6 and 5800, i dont find any issue with the K/B for messaging system. Check the CFW Symbian Anna v7.5 link for a screenshot. We personally taken the screenshot for all process.
Once you done with the flashing and phone boot first time, you just make a hard reset by dialing *#7370#

I really need your help here, I have done the flashing, it all went through fine, I took the battery out, put it back in , restarted the mobile, it load to main screen, however when I press the green button or any button, it gives the error " qtn_debug_pe_failed_at_startup"
I cannot dial any thing, its not showing the dial screen, I tried to do factory reset from the menu option, its giving error end any active call/ connection, there are no active calls no active connections
If I call this mobile from my land line its giving message that phone is on another call, when its not, whats happening, I removed the sim, still it says I've active calls
What shall I do in this case?

Have you selected Normal Mode in JAF ? If no please select and flash it again.
Follow the procedure as shown in images and video.
After completing just hard reset.

mFI0 and I was sure normal mode was selected, I tried flashing again, still gets the same error message and this time I formatted the mass storage drive. Don't know whats happening, cannot do hard reset as well.

I followed the same thing, everything went like in the pictures, then same error, I tried flashing it 3 times, formatting the drive, same error, like something failed to startup, I even re-downloaded the Anna v7.5, same issue., the contacts won't show, the green button won't work and that same error.

dear admin. i flashed my 5800 RM-356 exactly as per your instruction. but my phone keep hanging on "Local Mode NOKIA". It won't boot up. mine was v60 before. what could be the reason? how to solve it? I need your help pls.

thanks....its working fine now. i just deleted unwanted folders from mmc. then its ok. the only problem now im facing is, web fonts are very small. but i installed opera mob to overcome that issue. is there any way to increase the font size in browser? i tried changing font size in settings. but not working. one more question, is there built-in sip? i saw the sip settings n configured it. but don't know where n how i can make internet calls.

Anyways, i really like this Anna 7.5 with awesome Warna Dua theme. nicely created icon sets. proximity sensor responds better. i feel the increased performance of cpu while rotating. you guys managed to give more space in phone memory by throwing up the typical help files n applications like converter, RT game and bounce. i loved that. now the image gallery scrolls faster than before even in horizontal. thats really cool. Now i can rotate my home screen :)

Okay, you said it cant be run on any other RM apart for RM-594.

but i got a video on youtube showing Anna on RM-588, how true is this, can u pls check and verify for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdabBRPc3-w&feature=related.
My question is;
1. Did anyone tried it on RM-588 or any RM.
2. If you tried it on RM-588 what will happen.
3. If there is any problem after installing on RM-588, can i restore it back to the official FW?
Last but not the least, what other CFW can i run on my RM-588?

1. u said a location to extract files.(C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\XXX). BUT in my computer i dont have that :-(

2. after clicking on GO , in OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v6 it says:

Searching for JAF install location ...
ERROR: Can not find JAF.EXE

i wanted to run JAF. BUT >>> Can't load winSCard.dll
so i wanted to register this file with EmsaRegisterTool. BUT >>> Selected file is not a valid ActiveX!

Install Nokia PC Suite and download the Nokia official firmware you must download Datapackage not a core files. (Datapackage comes in a bundle of one single setup.)


You are using windows 7, but can you tell me the bit, is it 32 or 64 ?
We tried and tested on Windows 7 32 bit, not tested on 64 bit.
you must download the proper version for windows 7, already mention in the topic.

J.A.F 1.98.62 with PKEY Emulator {Support Windows 7 32bit}, 64 bit not tried yet.

Give a full info, try disabling antivirus and add the program in exception so antivirus can treat the program as a whitelist. Search in google how to add it.

try this, install in C:\Program Files (x86)\ODEON\JAF and in C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF
i dont know how and why, but it helpt me (windows 7 pro x64)
and try set on jaf.exe and All_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v10.0(Win7).exe
compability mode on win XP SP3

This is my prob.
I inst on my x6 16gb and works prerfect.
But when i put "favorite contacts" widget, i cant put any contacts on it. And when mark some contacts as "favorite" i lost them from "Contacts" and cant find them on the phone. Understand me=)?

Try Hardreset, hope this will solve your problem.
